Subject	How wide can one go with 17 inchers?

Message	I went through the FAQs and to the best of my understanding, with 17 inchers, one can go as wide as 9.5 up front and 10 in the rear without shaving or scraping anything. I'm not so comfortable with the 10 in the rear, so please chime in. Now, my problem is offset. Assuming that I want the look to be right (flush with the fenders, no sticking out, no tucking in) what would be the recommended offset, front and rear if I do go 17x9.5 F & R or 17x9.5 (F) and 17x10 (R)? I'm still doing the math and I hope my math matches yours. Thanks.
