OK, sorry if this question is out there, but it just hit me out of nowhere so I thought I might bring it to the table. The problem with our turbocharged cars is obviously lag, but I have noticed one consistency within the selections of turbochargers I have reviewed offered by vendors and such; smaller ones spool up more quickly (yielding less total power), while the larger ones lag significantly more (but yield tons of power). Is it possible to use a small turbocharger in conjunction with a larger one? To me, this seems like almost the most ideal setup for a true street car. You would have tons of usable boost all throughout the power band! Why isnt this done, or am I just oblivious to it being done? Would it cause a conflict with the pressure not being the same, etc? Obviously I am assuming lots of custom piping work would have to be done, but on the surface I would think it would be well worth it! Forgive my ignorance, it was just an idea. Thanks for your input.
