| Looking to get my car painted and wondering if there are any specific questions I should ask the shops... i.e. what brand paint they use, how many layers of clear coat... if you can also follow this up with a little more detail as to like how many layers of clear coat and as to what brands are good and the pros and cons of each. i've heard so far that dupont, glasurit, and ppg are good. But just b/c they don't use a certain type, you shouldn't ask them to switch it up b/c they might not be used to spraying that type of paint. And yeah, if you have any recommendations on shops in the So. Cal area i'd appreciate that too. Preferably within an hour or so of Ventura County. I posted a topic about shops before and have checked out AAA collision already where swedishwlf took his car. Looks pretty good but i wouldn't mind checking out a few other shops before I make the final decision.
