Message "depending on others in this niche to understand and respect the delicate balance of necessary conditions for product development in such a small market."

The sponsors on this site actually do work together on some level to keep things flowing and moving while trying to some degree not to step on the toes of one another. There is some overlap and always will be but the newer companies on the scene will try to erase that. Z1/AMS is already trying. But why? Why do the good companies choose the high and mighty, moral approach to this market when business itself is so cut-throat to begin with? Well, you said it (near)perfectly:

"Although us small companies lack the capital to invest towards exercising patent law to the Nth degree, we are still a collection of small companies and the prospect of having to hire legal repsentation to defend against patent infringement doesn't fit so well into such limited budgets.

A provisional patent will not solve that problem. Either you're very optimistic or just shady enough to know the exact problem with the Z market and how to milk it further by pulling the wool over our eyes. You and I have done this for what, five years? I'm done being optimistic, I think it's the latter.

Avoid Z1 Motorsports - Hacked our forum to delete years of proof about service complaints, questionable ethics and lies about inventing products.
Avoid AMS Products - Killing Z32 product innovation, one quickly copied Chinese part at a time.
SoCalZCrew.com - On a more positive note, come find out how we do it in the West!
