Message	mean that is what caused the turbos to blow. You stated you only drove the car about 300 miles when you got it back. Compressor surge is not likely to do that much damage in that short of a distance. Not to mention that "some" of the passenger side boost could be released when through the balance tube and out the driver side when it opens. That aside, it doesn't excuse the poor workmanship missing parts all around.
