Sounds like you've been really busy! I agree with George about avoiding the top end, so I'd stay away from the more expensive cars. I love the way the Lotus looks, but have heard plenty of times the same as what Bigfoot says above - that they are NOT daily drivers. I have to warn you about the 1.8t Audi/VW engine because it has some known sludge problems - my folks had to fight that battle, and through my Google searches to help them, I discovered that it's a fairly well-known issue that can be very expensive to repair if your dealer won't back down.
