| I used a heat gun to soften up the old sealant and to get the old taillights out, being careful not to melt anything.  Working in the summer, with the ass end of the car facing the sun, I just put on the new sealant and tightened the bolts (need a TALL 8 mm socket) which squished the new taillights into place just fine
