| but sadly I never had that lump sump of a money to drop at one moment. Trust me when I say that many times when I was thinking over the situation I wish I had the money to just buy a short block from Kyle and call it a day. Way less stressful and knowing that everything is going to be the way it is supposed to be. But like I mentioned, even the cheapest short block was out of my price range. If you add up all the parts, and machining required to put my short block together, it would be just a little short of a $1000. Although I was not expecting to go that much at this point it's still not something to break my back. I just hope my pistons/rods are in a good condition to be re-used. I've been reading about the weakness of the ring lands on the OEM pistons and I am a bit worried that a problem might stick it's ugly head out. I have to call up the shop and talk to the machinist. Who knows, I might just have him assemble the short block. Trust me, you have no idea how much I appreciate your help. There have been many times that I would have most likely been lost without your help and would've simply gave up. I was really trying to get it back together for West Coast Z Nationals. But at this point, days are going by fast and the date is getting closer and closer. Things keep getting added on and more stuff is needed. Even with the engine back in the car, I'm sure I would need a good amount of time finding all the gremlins. I think at this point it would be a good assumption I won't make it with a Z this year. If you don't mind, I'll tag along with you again this year =)
I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!"
