Message A1:
Solid lifter in a Z32 is crazy for the street. I wouldn't do it. All Solid lifter setups need periodic adjustment. I know I owned a BMW 735i that had a straight six that needed adjustment on a regular basis. It wasn't a big deal because the intake was off to the side and the valve cover came off easily. The whole procedure too less than 1 hour. The Z is a different animal all together. You cant get to the lifters. Solild lifters improve high RPM power potential and your low end power will be compromised to a degree. Keep your desired power band in constant perspective when planning your build.

The Z lifters are an excellent design. If you have a problem with them get a new set and then get a new oil pan too. Even a small dent can block the oil pickup and cause low oil pressure.

A2:

Block: I would over bore a Z32 motor to 89mm. The extra displacement and un-shrouded valves will produce great torque and improve potential. Weiso pistons weigh less and are proven winners. Then source lighter connecting rods and have the crankshaft lightened and the assembly balanced. Have the blocked deburred and smooth out the water passages

Heads:
Remove spark plug bosses. Open the ports up on the intakes and exhaust to fully match 1mm over sized valves. Match the intake before extrude honing. Leave the last 3 inches of the intake ports rough and swirled for better mixing. Extrude hone the intakes and turbo housings. Use cometic head gaskit.

Intake:
New intake plumbing with easier bends and have it polished or extrude honed. Install Larger throttle bodies.

Exhaust:
New manifolds, stockers are so restrictive, new turbos with the power band of your preferences. GD Expansion down pipes and 3' exhaust system. EGR delete

Cooling:
High capacity radiator, solid lower pipe, 65degC high flow thermostat.

Fuel system: (may already have)
Install new pump, new fuel rail and newer style high capacity injectors.
