| I've personally stayed out of the Z1 crap for a long time now until this recent debacle. I had just decided to let you guys work out your customer service issues and not bother with saying anything anymore. Not to mention, it seemed silly to me to try to help out people who didn't care to look at facts and just thought Z1 bashing was going on for the sake of it going on. I've been on this forum since the old twinturbo.com days over 10 years ago. This community has always been great and full of vendors that were honest, just had a love for Z's, and helped give great technical advice. They were as crazy about Z's as I was. And I, as a customer, could easily relate to these vendors. As years have gone by, there are some vendors who just stand above all with their impeccable customer service and their apt for product ingenuity. Does that mean they don't make mistakes? Of course not! Everyone makes mistakes, but it's the prompt action to correct it at all costs that makes the stand-up vendors what they are. With the sheer volume of what you guys do, you should easily be one of these vendors. But time and time again, things have been aired on this forum that have been negative about your customer service. These things don't come up for no reason. Does anyone see these very staunch posts about the other popular vendors here? No. There is a reason for that. Regardless of you thinking some of the things that have been said of your company in the past, the fact remains that negative things will be said and it isn't for no reason at all. People don't have time to go make stuff up. And there are people here, like me, who have been around here a long time and have lots of friends because of this site. Some find it a second home. And what you did with this recent debacle was to shit on that home. This is the only reason I decided to post again even though I had stayed out of the Z1 stuff for a long time. Russell, you need to understand one thing that you have never seemed to get. You have to be above all of this negative bashing no matter what. You have to be held to a certain standard. And when a business owner did what you did, you basically showed a lack of class and integrity. You disrespected all the members here, this forum, and Greg and Damon. Greg and Damon do an absolutely fantastic job with this forum and we all can only hope to be as classy and dedicated as they are. Honestly, I would have loved to have done business with you, but I haven't ever had a reason to. I have to have a great respect for a vendor before I will entertain doing business with them. I can't be business partners with someone who does these silly high school-like things. And why would I risk something going wrong when I know if I buy from the other popular vendors that I will get taken care of as if I'm their only client? That's the level of service they provide and the level of service you need to provide. But as always, the character question is my issue with Z1. We'll see what happens with your product line in the future. I'd love to support you and your venture with Z1, but if the past several years are any indication of what you guys do over there, then I'll take a pass on supporting you. And again, for the record, I have not VTD'd any Z1 posts for a long time nor have I replied in a negative way. But after what you guys did, I felt the need to say something. Again, I've been around here a long time and it was extremely disrespectful what you did. I also have great respect for Damon and Greg since they have always handled the Z1 stuff over the years the best way possible. They decided to stay out of it and not get involved. And when they finally had to get involved this time around, it was because of what you stooped to. I'm sure they are still shocked as to what you did. Remember, e-mails and typing messages in a forum are the worst way to deal with issues. Pick up the phone and call someone for once. I deal with this everyday at work and the best way to deal with these situations is to pick up the phone and call. Typed words can be interpreted so many different ways that a phone call is best to try to get things figured out. I manage several multi-million dollar customer accounts everyday and have a very hard time with many of the decisions you make. It really boggles my mind. I think the one thing you have going for you is that the customer base you have is very young for the most part and they don't understand this as well as some others like myself. So I know you're not going to go out of business anytime soon. But the potential you guys have with your facility and your knowledge really is good. But the execution and character is what I question. I'm sure if I ever met you, we'd probably get along fine. We'd have a beer or three and I'm sure we'd get along great. But as far as running a business, I still question a lot of what you do. I just hope you can see my side of feeling the way I do. What you did really bothered me a lot so much so that I felt I needed to say something. Hopefully you can see why I feel the way I do about your VTD actions you took and how many other members probably feel about it. I think Greg put it best in his response. Anyway, I wish you good luck and I hope you can turn things around. I do hope you at least continue sharing your knowledge of the Z32. Showing that will be the best way for you to get respect and get people to trust you. Spending some of your limited free time sharing good technical advice is what got most of the great vendors here where they are today. And they haven't forgotten that and continue to help the community in that way. If I were you, I'd suggest you do the same.
