Message	arriving at that conclusion based on your formula? Suppose the degree of elasticity, or "stiffness" of each bar material is different. One is an extruded steel tube, the other most likely a forged or hammered bar. It is very likely they are different. If the Modulus of Elasticity or what you refer to as the Modulus of rigidity is significantly greater for the ST bar material. Then the formula may result in the ST bar being stiffer. _________________________________________________ What's the difference between Daytona and New York??
