| and every now and then I try again to see if it's different yet. My observations on 300zxclub: 3ZC seems to attract a lot of younger folks than tt.net. Younger, in many cases, equals less mature in actions, just because, well, they AREN'T mature yet. Just a fact that, really, I can't hold against them. They haven't had the experiences to become mature yet. That kind of environment is going to sustain itself with like kinds, because that's more attractive to them than mature "old fogies". I tried to read a whole thread the other day. My head actually hurt partway through because NO ONE was using actual English such as I'm using here. It was all "ur" and "sumthin" and "prolly". Fine, I know what you mean, but you make yourself look less intelligent. Your choice. And it takes me a split second longer to parse those words, which adds up to making my head hurt. Maybe they don't require the added time and energy to parse because they're growing up with it. Maybe that makes me old. Fine with me. Being young, they still have something to prove, and they do it constantly. It's just a part of being young. This is my understanding of why 3ZC is the way it is. None of it's meant to be insulting; it's just the way people work. I don't care for that environment, so I don't hang out there with any regularity. Why should I go in their treehouse and complain about how their club is? Should I try to make them grow up and turn it into a real house? Well, there's one of me, and plenty of them, so no; it's theirs. I don't know any of the mods over there; are they all younger, too? That would make a lot of sense. They built the treehouse; they'll throw out whoever doesn't play the way they want to, if they're younger. Tolerance, wisdom and maturity as we've seen evinced by Greg and Damon here comes with age. THIS house is run by adults. Anyway, you'll note that I specifically did not use any real names, allegedly real situations, or even real objects. Feel free to try posting what I've written over there - it points no fingers at anyone. There is no mention of Z1 - it wasn't really meant for Z1; it was meant generally. I just wanted to explain how the system works for those who don't understand yet.
