Subject	Painting rear plastic interior questions?

Message	So I am doing springs soon and so my rear hatch panels will all be removed. They've gotten some abuse over time and could use some freshing up. Nothing broken but lots of scratches. I know that you can sand down and paint but ... What kind of paint do you use? What grit sandpaper? And do you have to sand everywhere to get the paint to stick or just to get scratches out? And does this wind up looking tacky? Anybody have pics? TIA
