My battery was being drained in a matter of hours and I took my Z to AwesomeZ to have the problem diagnosed. My Alpine alarm system was the culprit. Evidently it isn't all that unusual for alarm systems to cause this problem. Anyway, a friend mentioned that I could probably mail the alarm brain to Alpine for repair. I contacted Alpine and was told to mail the alarm and both key fobs to their office in California. Two weeks later I received the repaired alarm system, hooked it up, and it works perfectly. The best part is that there was no charge, except for the cost to ship it to CA. They didn't even bill me for the return shipping. Amazing since the alarm system is at least six years old. Given the level of customer service I've become accustomed to these days, I'm very impressed with Alpine.
