Message I think we all have it figured out that many of the 3zc members have a slightly different mentality than many of the tt.net members. Generalizing, I would say that they don't have the technical knowledge, skills, or cars that are modified to the level of most of the tt.net members. At least it seems that way looking at some of the posts over there, versus the posts over here. They typically vote for group buys for cheap stuff, Chinese AMS crap, or parts they probably don't have the means to buy anyhow. Items like shifters, & floor mats. Who needs a group buy on items that are $100-$200? I certainly don't. This month, it's a shifter, & Z1 GT675 RS turbos. I would have to say that many of the members here probably have made those 2 modifications already. Certainly enough that a group buy for them probably wouldn't sell very many. I would have to guess that the members here would vote for group buys that are totally different, since the members cars here are seemingly more modified. I did buy a set of Z1 intercoolers over there, but the rest of the gb's have been things that I don't need, or already have. It was just a suggestion of the possibility of getting more group buys for the things that are needed by people that have Z's that are already fairly well modified. If nobody wants more group buys on stuff we can use, then that's cool. It seems like there's some opposition to this, so maybe a site sponsored monthly group buy isn't a good idea. Or on the other hand, maybe it's just a few people that aren't interested in more group buys that are piping up. This thread was simply to see if there was interest, & if there were suggestions on how to make it happen.
