Message	thing- Z324U posted a work-around on NOT using the spacers. If I were to install these, I would do what you said- simply install a smaller washer/spacer. If you remove the screen on the injectors, the hole is so small that I'm not so sure it makes a whole hell of a lot of difference to get the screen directly in the fuel flow considering the pressure in the system.
