Message Viper498 can check it like they do at a machine shop!!! They check it with a caliper and Viper489 can do the same using the procedure in the service manual, if it's out of round as per the service manual, then it has to be cut. Keep in mind the Z32 crank is forged and hardened and knocking a journal out of round is extremely difficult. If the rod was bent or broke I'd say it was it was possible that the journal was ovaled but a spun bearing is not enough force to oval the con rod journal. Having said that it still needs to be checked becasue no one knows the true history of the motor. Another way I check dynamically for ovaling is to install the con rod and plasti guage it in three places on each side, I rotate the crank about 10 degrees and do it again. If the plati guage is inconsistent they the rod journal is ovaled. If it's not then carry on with the build.
