Well, despite the problems I have with the Z right now (which I have come to terms with), here it is. It still has a looong ways to go, but it's been a lot of fun so far, not to mention the experience. I think I can deal with the boost leaks/etc soon, as I am just happy it is running again. So I havent had time to really detail it yet, just a quick wash. Ironically, when I got home today a big box was on my porch - yup, Insomiac's DSLR (D50)camera arrived. And wouldn't you know, the sun was going down! Now mind you, I don't know the first thing about photography, but I tried my best to recall that excellent FAQ'd write-up for taking decent pictures. Unfortunately, I really haven't taken photographs of anything besides people, etc. Yes, I took many (over 100), and yes, I got dirty as I wallowed around on the ground. This was mainly an attempt to learn more about the camera than capture the beauty (or lack thereof) of my car. I found that taking so many pictures was incredibly beneficial, as even the slightest movement yielded drastically different results with light saturation, etc, and man I took some very humbling pictures :) However, I learned a lot about the camera during this first session. Here are a few, and more are to come when I detail her as the weather warms up. *And on a final note, please excuse many of the car's shortcomings (and mine for that matter). The entire fascia needs replacement (note the final photo to see why I tried to do my best to keep it excluded), it has numerous dings, was dirty, clearcoat hazing on the mirrors and sideskirt/lower bumper orangepeel, charcoal pinstripe around the car needs to be redone, weatherstripping is faded, the entire front clip is riddled with tiny rock chips/pitting, I need JSPEC tails, lowered a bit, ugly borla's, unshaved antennae, and last but not least more photography sessions ;) I just wanted to see how much I could hide, honestly. And thus, the pictures mainly from the back...

Not coincidentally, those were my two favorites. Im sure if I knew how to photoshop I could hide things further... Anyhow, on to a few more. Experimenting with angles:

Some of the sloppier pics: My Falken Azenis. Sexy tires.
Yup. Still tryin to keep the front bumper out of the equation...
And here is why.

Well, I hope you enjoyed them. I will be playing with this camera over the next few days to do more testing with light, as besides setting that seems to be a critical factor in good pictures from what I've experienced thus far. More to come, hopefully with a clean car and not so spontaneously next time.
