The AAC normally varies with driving conditions. The ecu uses the AAC to adjust the idle mixture, not necessarily the idle speed. The idle speed is preset but other factors can cause high or irractic idle such as o2 sensors, a stuck AAC, air regulator, etc. The A/F base is the adjustment that the computer is making from the preset values. So if 100% of the table's value is making the car run lean, it will dump more gas, to say 105% to make a better mixture. Make sense now?
