| I will take a Sharpie and mark the location where the step should be and then indicate +0.008" with an arrow pointing to the area of the step. When I drop off the flywheel, I explain to the machinist what needs to be done and from there it's pretty cut and dried. Basically, what the machinist will do is do a first cut to get the surface all trued up. Then he will come back and make an additional cut that creates the 0.008" step. Good luck, Dave
