Message Why not use more aggressive material and a lighter spring so as to reduced axial loading on the crank while still maintaining a greater holding power. I mean it would require the use of more expensive friction material and the clutches wouldn't last as long.....but I'd rather be replacing clutches ever 10,000 miles or so than replacing bearings.
