Chinese products are, and have been historically, inexpensive and cheap products. For a very long time "made in China" meant that it was cheap, crappy products that wouldn't last long. Even today, a lot of manufactured goods from China have not shown to be as good products as stuff made elsewhere. Electronics are not the exception. Your TVs most likely have Japanese or Malaysian components, assuming they really are Sony/Samsung, and not a cheap knockoff brand. With the AMS stuff being made in China, it has the advantage of having a tamper-resistance. You'll be able to tell anyone who is messing with your AMS manifolds, since they'll die of lead poisoning.
