Anything short of proving that your car was equipped with an OEM exhaust system at the time of the citing will get you laughed at and pummeled by the prosecution attorney. You're guilty of having a non-OEM exhaust system on your car, whereas the law states that you cannot modify your exhaust system in any way. Why is that so hard to accept?
