of a complete 3" exhaust with split 3" DP compared to the same exhaust with a 2.5" catback. In a dyno test he performed on the same car (with a bit over 600 rwhp) the total HP was reduced about 2% by running the 2.5 catback. I don't recall if the discussion touched on other considerations, like spool up, e.g., but I'm pretty sure the differences between the performance bands of the two systems were negilgible. Unless you're going after every last bit of HP, all this suggests that a 3" exhaust system coned down to a 2.5 catback should work well with a build goal of 500 HP.
