Message	totally open submerging the pick up tube. I have two kickouts the left and right side. Each side holds about 2 quarts plus. For example, if you make a hard left turn, the right side will be shut and the left side open submerging the oil pickup keeping the level up. Vice versa for right turn. The SZ oil pan only has kickout on the left side which would work great for left turn g-force. But right turns they don't have that extra volume like mine . My oil pan is symetrical for both left and right turns. This was 10 minutes of cold oil to settle away from the diamond shape baffle chamber. In the mean time , the oil pick up is under oil. This was for 6 quarts of oil also.
