Message	is nice, but at the price the portable units go for these days, you can't go wrong with minimal investment. I prefer an OEM integrated look and feel in my cars, but my fathers Garmin Nuvi does everything my Kenwood system does plus he can use it in any car. I have used several of the current offerings and while they all have ticks, pros/cons vs one another, I find the Garmin to be very intuitive and easy to use. "Too dumb for opera, too smart for NASCAR."
