| to be an automotive performance parts vendor in this day and age. With any sort of internet based business, your customers care primarily about two things. Getting the best price possible and on-time delivery. It would be foolish to stock 30 sets of Devil Z wild turbos, so of course, you have your supplier build them to order. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have 2 or 3 sets in hand so that you can send out turbos and then reorder stock from your turbo builder. It only takes one bad online transaction to put off a customer. And we all know how the internet, forums and blogs have brought the power to the consumer to really affect a vendor's business. One bad review from a forum member or the details of a transaction gone severely wrong is immortalized on the Intarweb and can do much to damage to a struggling startup business. Even if a vendor has 1 bad transaction for every 100 good transactions, most people only post when they have a problem. Even if people do post about a good transaction with a vendor like Ash with known customer service issues, those people are ridiculed, so there is really no incentive to post about good transactions. Even as Ash continues to improve his business practices, he will unfortunately be bogged down by his early failures. But, good products with good prices and prompt delivery go a long way in helping restore a tarnished image.
