Message When emotion is involved, responses tend to be prematurely stated w/out concrete evidence to back them up. Its easy, if you're an upstanding person with any sense of "fairness," to become immediately angered at this unfortunate circumstance...I was. However, from a legalistic standpoint, one must separate his own personal opinions on the matter and instead focus on a fact finding mission before damning the accused.

I, for one, will reserve judgment until all factual evidence has been pesented. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who would pony up $1000. to purchase the AMS mani's for the sole purpose of cutting them open to determine similarities/differences.

Jody is correct - "reverse engineering" is a living, breathing, necessary evil in the competitive marketplace - a survivalist trait of the business world. Countless accolades of American enginuity were, in fact, R&D from another country - reverse engineered by the USA. The forward progression of mankind is strongly reliant on reverse engineering...the products are endless...the scope - worldwide. I don't condone it from a moral standpoint - especially in a circumstance such as this, but I find myself reaping the benefits in almost everything that surrounds me. How often do you search for the best product for the most affordable price? And when you find that product, do you question its origin, or just pat yourself on the back for the good buy?

This is ceratainly a tough one to stomach, but it was bound to happen. If I were a betting man, I would bank on it happening. I think many of the emotional reactions here are merely anger-based responses from morally upright individuals. In all honesty, I'm pleased to see so many ethically outspoken forum members...that tells me that we've got a solid moral member base here on TT.Net.

Yeeeeehaaaaa!
