: for the 350?? I don't really have tons of money to spend...how much better would it be to do the test pipes and gut the cats than just gutting the cats? Thanks again : -Stephen I would say the money is well spent. You may run across some used pipes, but they are rare. You may be able to have some made for much less than $350, but it will take some research to get it done. Gutting the precats will not take much $$, but it is a pain in the butt to do. I would think there would be a noticeable difference power wise between 1. testpipes and gutted precats, and 2. just gutting the main cats. IF you do the testpipes you will always have the main cats to put back on, and you will have better mileage and power to boot....if at all possible, do it.
