A few weeks ago, I picked up this clean 90 300ZX, that didn't have any oil pressure. [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2101244 ] The owner got back into town, so I finally paid him, and got the title signed . I can relax now. Well, I had noticed the oil pan was caved in, so I experimented pulling it out with a body shop stud gun. Worked pretty good, and no leaks. I started it up and got 100# of oil pressure, and the lifters quieted right down !! Filled my shop with smoke, ran rough, and dumped about a 1/2 gallon of water out the rotted mufflers. The more it ran, the smoother it got, so I took it for a little drive, Shifts, and drives great. Not bad for a car that had not been driven for over 5 1/2 years! Smoking stopped, and it idles perfect now ! Yes, I'm a happy Z owner now !
