as a public accountant, I do personal taxes to audits of very large companies. One of which is a petroleum company that owns several Sunoco gas stations. I asked the Controller about "whos gas is the best". He replied, "off the record, the gas is all the same no matter where you go" (not talking about 87 vs. 93 octane, but gas from one station to the next). It's not that Cumberland Farms gets worse gas than Sunoco or whatever you want to think about, it's the quality control of that particular gas station. He said what makes one station's gas better than the next is the age of their tanks, piping, and pumps, and most importantly how often they change the filters. In conclusion, older filters, tanks, piping, etc. will lead to a lower quality product (gas). There's my input. I'm sure tons of you will disagree and swear one is better than the other, so I'd like to hear the arguments!
