Or, if you use Outlook/Windows Mail, open the e-mail, then go File -> Properties -> Details ...this will bring you to the e-mail header, from which you can pull the sender's IP address. Usually, these wastes of life hail from Nigeria - that's where I've found (and heard from others) them to be traced to. Good luck in selling, though.  I was listening to Opie & Anthony a month ago, and they had some celebrity guest on. He was complaining about these scams, said that he decided to play a prank on them. He went along with the scam, had them send him a check, He replied a few days later, saying that he was some African militant leader (can't remember who) and that he was coming to get them. the scammers called him, begging and pleading not to kill them or their families.
