Message As per whatsthegoodword, paypal is no longer an option. I had already sent the e-mail before reading his reply. If there are any more tips, I will gladly accept them. I'm sure he'll reply with something enticing if he is a scammer. If he is real, he will meet my requirements. Do they sound safe enough?

My reply to him
Rane,

I would still like to sell you the Skyline however, there are a few things that need to be taken care of in an attempt to cover my end. Scams are all too rampant these days. While I am not trying to demean your character, I also know cashier's checks are a risky way to do business. All too often, checks are proven to be false even after a bank clears it and then the person is held liable.

I'm sure you can see some red flags here:
1) Cashier's check
2) Me paying the shipping company
3) Wanting the car shipped by the 2nd week of January when dealing with a check

Again, I do not want to demean your character but there are certain things I can not take any chances on when dealing with this amount of money. I am sorry but I can not accept a cashier's check. I can accept a wire transfer such as Western Union or the equivalent. I will also accept paypal. Let me know if you are still interested. Please do not take this personally. I'm sure if you are totally legit, you will understand the precautionary measures I am taking on my end.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Travis Rogers

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
