Message	obviously you have alot more power than i did (500ishwhp) when i ran 10's with my 5spd. but i used to shift right around the point of peak tourqe (5500ish) and it always seemed to run quicker et than if i shifted at the redline. this may help with your trans breakage also. just an idea for you to try, if you already havent. 9.46@142 1.37 60ft
