Don't mind me, I had an extremely fucked up week and after seeing the MD meet discussions from Tuesday and Wednesday night, I just wasn't in any good mood (read extremely bad mood) to say anything on the forum. Some had said I was out of town, some said they wanted my input before they decided but no one ever bothered to call me on my cell. I thought I had a say in what was going on seeing that I was one of very few doing the tech work at the meet but I guess I didn't have a say. I leave town for 24 hours, fly half way across the country to help a Z-er and all hell breaks loose here in MD. All you guys had to do was wait 10 more hours and I would have been back in Baltimore. For some of you, I guess that was too long to wait.... but oh well.
There's a lot more to it all but I'm not going get into it. I'm going to end writing a fucking book if I do. A lot of people I spoke to yesterday know what's going on and I have expressed my major disappointments on a lot of things that are not necessarily related to this meet issue (but on the grander scale of things). It's incredible how some of them were oblivious to what I said to them but most of them have since expressed their regrets. Chrissy (Lady300Z) and I talked this morning and came to the agreement that we should go ahead and hold the meet at her place as had been decided in my absence. A last minute venue change was not the best idea and if we did that, then I become the asshole of it all for doing it. I'm not going to do that nor do I want the bad rap. When deciding on a venue for a Z tech meet, I don't always look at who wants to host one. Careful consideration have to made as to whether the location volunteered can accomodate a group of Z-ers, can tech work be done easily on the location, and is there enough space around for the techs (like myself) to freely move around when working on the car? These are just some of the things I look for. I know people are eager host events and we appreciate that but certain types of meets warrant specific locations for several reasons, and certain other types of meets we can hold anywhere. I know we have a full brake set up to do on YugoBernie's and I believe Phuong is doing Wagz's harnesses along with a few other cars on the premises so we needed to make sure there was enough room for them plus the however many cars that would show up. So in any case, based on the time restrictions and the people waiting for my feedback, there you have it. It will be held at Chrissy's. Starting 11:00am till whenever. Anyone who can attend the meet tomorrow is going to have a great time so don't miss out on this one!
