man, I am never going to get to dyno this car if shit doesnt keep breaking. CAS has been on the way out for months and finally got so bad I had to get it replaced along with one bad o2 ( so replaced both of course ). well, the day before it goes in to the shop I notice some oil leaking from the front of the engine apparently from both sides..wonderful, just f'ing great. I was thinking it was the cam seals, but no its the VTC controller sprockets..both sides. The only bright side to all this crap is 1.> thanks to tt.net I was able to diagnose correctly that CAS and o2's were my original problem even though no ecu error codes. and 2>thanks to Courtesy Nissan discount the VTC's cost me $328.42 each instead of the $459.80 the dealership wanted to charge me..and same great discount on the CAS and o2's. My new personalized plate is going to be "MoneyPit" LOL. Oh, and before anyone is in shock that I bring my car to a dealer, the one mechanic who works on my car at the dealership is simply the best I have ever worked with. superb, meticulous work. He showed me that the "nissan master mechanic" who did my timing belt the first time didnt set the belt tensioner correctly,so it was showing signs of premature wear and also had the thermostat in upside down. live and learn..and pay out the wazoo.
