Message	on the booster going bad at the same time seems very unlikely. I agree with just pulling the master loose to look for a leak but if there is nothing external I doubt you will find anything internal. I would also think if there was enough to smoke you would see some kind of residue in the vacumn line from the booster. There is a check valve on the booster hose but I think they are the same NA>TT
