Subject	What does brake fluid smell like when it burns?

Message	Seriously, I am still trying to sort out the source of the puffs of smoke I get when I come to a stop. See my previous post in tech: La-Z-Link I have come to believe it is the driver side turbo seal. Z1 has agreed to check it out if I remove it but before I do, I want to exhaust all other possibilities. (pun intended). It occurs to me that if the seal on the master cylinder was leaking just a little bit, then when I brake to a stop, a drop or two of brake fluid might get sucked past the seal and into the intake. The smoke smells to me like oil but I can't recall the last time I smelled burnt brake fluid. KK
