| install a small sub or two to take over that low range, and crank away. I found that the factory speakers perform excellently when they are focused on high's and mid's. I too had the same complaint about not being able to listen to the stereo on the freeway with the t-tops out. SO I went this route with the full intentions of gradually upgrading the rest along the way. Once I had installed two small 8" woofers with ~200W, I found there was no need to pump anymore money into the stereo. It sounded just fine. The key was to have an amp with an easy-to-use gain-adjustment on it. That way you can adjust as necessary for the wide range in music mixing levels.
