| They can be counted. No idea about pro-rated, though I assume they would be. After they make their 'offer' (total/$$ amount, etc), you can argue the worth of the car. Most people here do that with their Z, since the Z cars are more often than not, under valued. If you can show extensive documentation of the mods done, and prove that the car is worth more than what they say. From the damage: you might want to consider buying it back as a total. You basically give them a bit of their money back (usually no more than a few hundred bucks), in exchange for the car with a salvage title. Suspension work shouldn't cost too much, since control arms and tension rod could be done for less than a grand, assuming you find some good used ones. Oil pan is expensive, and can be tough to do, so that could be a big part of the cost. I would guess that if they total it, it will be because of the fender. A new OEM fender, and a matched paint job could cost more than the car itself.
