if it was acting up with a knock you should have stopped then and fixed it instead of trying to hit some kind of catastrophic failure.. also if oil is in your boost pipes it's a good sign your turbo is failing. same as oil smoke in the exhaust, it is leaking where it shouldn't. need to pull motor asap and inspect more closely.. also this type of post belongs in tech forum and I'm sure it'll get bumped..
