I have been curious about this for a while but never seriously thought about it until now. Most of you have seen my ZPC (in car computer system) and several of you have expressed interest in actually having one of these. I would like to get an idea of how many of you would like to buy kits for installing a system in your Z's too. I will produce the center cluster panel, motorized display bezel, computer case and other supporting hardware to insatll the system. Options would include type of finish (wood, plastic, etc) with or without computer hardware and options for additional components I have already installed into my own system. The system I have currently has the following:
8.4" touchscreen TFT (active matrix panel)
GPS system
DVD CDROM drive
Digital soundfield processing with 5.1 & dolby surround
MP3 playback w/FM remote control
and best of all, engine data acquisition: Data acquisition monitors:
manifold pressure
throttle position
l&r o2 sensors
airflow meter
detonation sensor
engine temp
vehicle distance (in ft. or mi)
and it incorporates a boost conroller, air/fuel controller and has the capability to do much much more, even ET dial in. I have developed the code for all of this and I will make it available as an add-on option if desired.
This sytem provides tunability all within one app and has fail safe measures to prevent you from screwing up your engine. All of this information can be better viewed through my site
