Message	This response isn't just human nature, it's a survival response. All company revenue has to be put somewhere - if your coworker makes less, you have the opportunity to make more. If your caveman neighbor gets all the hot cavewomen, you can't reproduce with the genetically-optimal mates, thus decreasing your chances for both a) hot cavelady lovemaking and b) ensuring your genetic material is passed on to the next generation.
