Message that provides the bulk of the mechanical energy required to spool the turbos. Kinetic energy of the gases is the smaller contributor. So turbos are not as much of a restriction as perceived to be. They derive most of their energy from the temperature differential across the turbine. This is mostly based on the sporadic information I've read so feel free to correct.

Agree with the compression argument, I was just trying to focus on this one.
