Or are you basing your reading off the stock gauge? I would take the ECU out and see if it's chipped. If you don't have an aftermarket boost controller, that's your best bet to figure out if it's tuned or stock. If it is in fact tuned, you are good to go, as the highest boost you can *safely* run (with stock injectors) is about 15psi.
Your ECU is located under the wooden cover in the passenger side kick panel. Look in FAQ and search for instructions on how to take it out and check for a chip.
