| sold me a set of white Advan VS 5s of the same size Sept '06. He advertised them as new but a sleuth here tipped me off that HKSGTZ had bought an identical used set on ebay shortly beforehand. I had them checked for runout (radial and lateral trueness) and all of the wheels were badly bent. To HKSGTZ's credit he immediately offered to reimburse me and pay all transaction costs ( return shipping and paypal fees). Still considerable time was spent just repackaging them. He claimed that he didn't know they were bent and, assuming that was true, I guess he just wanted to flip the wheels and make a nice profit. He was extremely helpful in accepting the wheels back and paying me. But saying that they were 'new' was still a lie. A more important general point is that when you buy a used wheelset you must check to see if they are bent. Manufacturers' OEM runout specs are very tight. I don't know what is generally considered a serviceable deviation, but for the Z32 the FSM wheel runout limit is .3mm. So beware when purchasing used.
