The fascia was somewhat malformed when I received it. I spent a good number of hours with a heat gun re-shaping it before I put it on the car. I installed it unpainted, because I wanted to be sure it would look right before I get it painted. I brought it by my body shop and asked if the few imperfections I was unable to remove would be repairable. My body guy said he can put a skim coat over the area and sand it smooth, so that the marks from the license plate frame and screws will be hidden. I still want to do just a bit more reshaping now that I've seen it on the car. Then I'll remove it and bring it in for paint.
