Message yes, the #1 main bearing block journal is 0.030" oversize due to the bearing failure.

I realize that you have to line bore the entire block since we have a crank girdle. If there were no girdle, it would be a much simpler matter and you could treat each main journal as its own entity (assuming good centerline).

That being said, if they are doing the machine work for free, and Nissan already has a set of 0.025" over bearings, why not go that route?

If I get a "new" old block, I will have to have it decked and the oil/water passages de-flashed, etc. If I can re-coat the pistons and go .25mm over to clean up the vertical scoring on cylinder #1 and fall within specs, that would be the idea situation, no?
