Message However, you'd have to have some serious money invested in your car before justifying the cost of those systems.

My system has a two-way remote (will beep at me if alarm goes off about 1/2 mile away), which is usually good enough for where I park regularly, and at home. Price was very reasonable, as I installed it myself, so with the door actuators, it ran me about $180. A similar set-up is over $500 installed at most shops, which is probably the number that scares most people away.
