Message	and in track / autocrossing where the oil sloshes all the way to the back of the pan and the oil pickup tube is left dry. i.e. no oil to the pick up tube means no lubrication. That's the reason for somebody to come out with a new pan that can help to prevent this issue. Not just for more oil capacity which is just a side benefit.
